An old dog some new tricks.

      Hello all.

I am new to DV and i think this site is great.
Never did i know untill yesterday that there is websites like this which can teach dream control to other people. I think this is great.

I've been able to control my dreams since i was a small child but i havent for a while. I want to get back into the game...

I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to guarentee a dream, JUST a dream, not being lucid or anything else.

This is the ONLY problem i have, dreaming.

Will i be more likely to dream if i have a healthy amount of sleep or does it matter?
because my sleep patterns are constantly scattered randomly.

      I wouldnt mind e-mails hehe
      Thankyou xx

A good way to remember your dreams, is before going to sleep, visualize the moment you're going to wake up, and while you're visualizing the moment you wake up you gotta think about how you will try to remember your dreams and write them down. Then go to sleep. When you wake up, the first thing you will think about is remembering your dreams, and you will remember them!

This works for me ^^ and hi welcome to the forums =)

would you consider it strange if an alien spent several hours prone each night while their soul roamed in another dimension? We are strange creatures..

honestly, a dream journal is going to be your best bet, I've been practicing lucid dreaming for less than one month now, but I've had two (which isn't a ton, but I had only heard about dream control a few weeks ago). I credit my dream journal (and all the awesome people and tips of this forum) for my success

Okay, I shall think about keeping a dream journal.
And thank you. My user name was inspired by a band from your home town actually, Ontario. And Alice In Wonderland.

Oh, I would have thought it would have been Jefferson Airplane, you kind of look like Grace Slick.

      Awh, shucks.
Thanks. Grace Slick is very pretty but unfortunately I look nothing like her.

1967 is a bit out of my time zone.
I have never hear any of the Jefferson Airplane's music, that i'm aware of.

I think I might download some.

      Thanks! XD

Grace! if you eat lettuce. There is something in it which makes you dream more. I don't know what it is. But I've always noticed if I eat it I never fail to dream. This is what made me start researching this.

No need to download it. Here I found it for you.

      Mushrooms? lol.

I think just vegtables, fruit, and generally anything that is healthy is bound to give you a boost for sure. I never eat any junk or red meat or I feel sick.

I think I am going to go to bed now.
A little girl like me needs her beauty sleep.

      I shall try and DC.
Coming back on DV has encouraged me some what to try again.

HI White Rabbit. Welcome to Dream Views.

Looks like you got some good information already. Besides keeping a journal, make sure your thinking about your dreams a lot, and how important they are to you. I find whenever I get distracted a little bit, and stop thinking about dreams. My recall dies really quickly. So I'd say keeping dreaming on the front of your mind is a real key to improving recall.

      Good luck.

Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids.

      Sorry, couldn't stop myself.

You have some good advice, now just keep trying, Never give up, and always eat your cereal.
"Sir, we are surrounded." "Good, then we may attack in any direction."

White Rabbit, how old are you exactly?

And by the way, you dream every night. It's just remembering them that is the problem.
You do this every fucking time.
      No sweat.
      No tears.
      No guilt.
You do this every fucking time.

Why do you want to know how old I am?
Isn't child a good enough explanation

I still count as a child no matter what people say
I am also aware of that but it is very rare for me not to remember a dream.

      La la la la la...
