      Quick question

Hello everyone, I've been part of DV for quite awhile now and have resorted to just trolling the forums rather than posting all over the place . I've decided that I should make my appearance.

And with that I'll make my way to my question.

I've been attempting lucid dreaming on and off since I discovered it (mostly WILD's, as I've had several DILD's, and I feel that I should challenge myself) And I would like your take on most, if not all of my experiences.

Most of my attempts start with me laying normally (not moving as per my choice of WILD technique) and either counting or observing thoughts, attempting to reach the sleep paralysis stage directly before the famed lucid dream. But it seems that I cannot find a happy medium between not moving at all and my brain being too active. When I count I count to several hundred, then restart, untill I've noticed that I've been up for maybe 30 minutes and then I give up and go to sleep. Where as when I observe thoughts I make it to a stage where my body is entirely dull and somewhat heavy (not the vibrations and crazy experiences that are normally associated with sleep paralysis as far as I know) and sometime around my recognition of this state I drift off and fall asleep ruining my attempt.

So with that entirely too long description of what is happening (I doubt many of you made it through that, but if you did I commend you) I ask you what you think of my attempts and any suggestions you may give.

Along with any article you have on what I should do AFTER I achieve sleep paralysis.

      Thanks for your time!

(that wasn't so much of a quick question. Rofl.)

well i dont know if i kan give you advise haha. but my experiances with this is kinda the same, but what ive noticed is that it works the best for me when im completely relaxed, also, ive noticed that if you think too hard when your waiting, it kan keep you awake. (just like the article on the subject said) so id think that u have to think, but just bearly enough to be aware that you dont fall asleep, and try to keep entirely relaxed.

p.s. about the after "sleep paralysis". if you kan reach this stage, your gonna start seeing images, whether swirly clouds or just distinct objects. now, you have to try and not pay attention to these. you kan notice them, but just let them pass. dont move your eyes and look at them either. so, i think after a while, backgrounds are gonna start to flash in and outta vision. like a forest for example. i dont really know exactly, but i think that you let the background develope, till you think its a complete background, a dream. someone told me that u then just "roll" out of your bed and straight into the dream.

      hope i helped
