Question Newbie question dream journal

Hi everybody Iīm new here, and Iīm so excited to have found this great forum! I havenīt had an LD in months but a few years back, when i was reading La Berges book and practising a lot I had LDīs several times a week. I remember doing reality checks all the time...!
I hope being a member here will give me inspiration and knowledge to start having LDīs frequently again.
I am thinking about starting a dream journal but have a lack of time. Is it worth it considering the effect it can have on the LDīs?

Welcome to the forum!

Well Djs are certainly recommended. They help with your recall and noticing dream signs which could lead to lucidity. You don't need to put too much time into them. Just writing down a few key words can make all the difference. Besides the key words can help trigger your memories when you have time to remember the dreams and write them down.
But you don't have to make one, however I'd personally recommend it.

I'm with NeAvO on this one. It's not explicitly required for lucid dreaming, but it is highly recommended.

I think it's worth it. Dream journals can be very helpful. I actually didn't know people kept them, until I started lurking on here a few years back (I just recently decided to join, like three days ago ).

I'm really bad at keeping a journal, though. I get lazy, and forget, but the times I do keep one, I find I can recall my dreams a lot better.

Good luck!

I highly recomend a dream journal. Before I started keeping one I was only remembering about 1-2 dreams a week. Now I am up to 1-2 a night! (Which is still low compared to others, but I am happy with it) Just make a good effort to put time into it.

One thing I find better than a dream journal is a recording device. I wake up after a dream and reach out and just speak whatever comes to mind then go back to bed. In the morning when I am finished, I usually remember the whole dream I just recorded, and I type it into the computer! (I usually type it up because the recording is usually hard to understand because I am tired)

Anyway, welcome to Dream Views, and good luck with your DJ!

Thanks guys! I guess you´re right. I will make a dream journal but I think this recording device suggestion was an even better idea for me at this time now anyway. I just realized I can use my mobile as a dictaphone, so I´ll try that.
Thanks for welcoming me!

You can just write down a few details from your dream when you wake up and get back to it later to write out the entire thing. Most of the dream will still be in your memory if you are reminded of details of it.
