A Newbie Comes with a raygun!

Hello, my name is Jeff_ray, an intended pun related to rayguns.

I have only recently heard about lucid dreaming. If you wish, here's a story about it:

"I am on a computer school, looking through a forum on my free time. As I read about a topic on dreams related to the game the forum was based on, I saw the link to this place. I clicked it and looked. From then on, I started to get hype on lucid dreaming, and how it seems like it can be used as an 'alternative reality' in which I could pretty much do all of what I ever wished to do.

Through the afternoon classes of English and Maths, the hype only got bigger. I then went home to continue checking the subject. I then looked at many tutorials and the forums. I then decided to register, in order to share future experiences and ask help related to this godsent ability to accomplish my biggest dreams. It may seem like a tough process, just like the last level of a tough game, but there's always hope lying in the end of the tunnel to lucid dreaming."

      Alright, so that's quite it.

It would quite help to get a step-by-step guide on how to do the Dream Recall part, with helpful hints as to not forget dreams.

I might start this thing tonight, maybe tommorow, to let my body calm a bit down before starting (knowing how much hype I got from the news).

Enough with the long stuff, Hi!

Wow! Nice story behind how you found out about Lucid Dreaming!

Good look for when you do Dream Recall too. Don't worry about it either, it's dead easy!

Easier to type up on a computer too, if you write down keywords on a piece of paper, maybe lots...

Welcome to DV! Hope you enjoy it.

      Welcome to Dream Views, Jeff_Ray

Go ahead and try tonight. Soemtimes the excitement and confidence can be enough to land you a lucid dream.

You're on the right track by starting with improving your dream recall. There are a lot of good tips in the Tutorials section
      http://dreamviews.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=25
There's even a dream recall tutorial.

It sounds like you've already been looking around, but if you haven't had the chance, check out the Quick Start Guide
      http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=36723

A couple quick hints on improving your dream recall:
      1) Right before you fall asleep at night, tell yourself you will wake up after every dream and remember it.
      2) Keep a pen and paper next to your bed so you can jot down notes on the dreams.
      3) As soon as you wake up, dont do anything until you try to remember your last dream. Don't move, don't even open your eyes. Just try to remember something. Anything at all.

Don't be shy about asking questions. People here love to give advice

This may seem like an useless question, but did anyone ever do things that were related to video games? Because I don't quite want to get my hopes up on doing things that can't be achieved by the lucid masters...

You bet. I think a lot of people get their inspiration from video games and movies. You can do anything you can imagine. What did you have in mind?

And, what game had lucid dreaming in it? Was it Titan Quest?

Well, I was thinking about going in video game worlds and maybe interact with a game's storyline, and maybe even go squish goombas and koopas in the Mario world. XD

But since it's possible, I've got my hopes up.

However, I hope that the school won't interfere with my dream recall schedule... mostly because my mom wakes me up around 6:00AM, and I sleep relatively late, even on weekdays. Do you suggest I try to go to bed earlier on weekdays?
