      Heya Gee!

Well, when you develop Dream Recall, your dreams become longer. Your dream becomes long enough, so in that space of dream time you can check if you're dreaming or not. When you spot something strange, you check.

Do your reality checks when you're not sleeping, make it a habbit. You will find yourself doing it in your dreams (plugging my nose works best for me)

Asuming you already have good dream recall. For a new LDer, first thing is to familairize yourself with doing reality checks. The best one for beginers is the hand check. If it's a dream your hand will appear fuzzy, very red, swollen, having extra fingers or rubbery and thin fingers like an alien's.

So...1) Get familiar with doing reality checks. 2) Look for a trigger in real life that will remind you to do a reality check.

It's that simple, stick to it and you'll have an LD sooner than you think..

Well the dreams may not actually be longer. But you remember more of them, so your experience of them is longer.

The thing about reality checks is, if you get used to questioning your dreaming. And you pay attention to the kind of things that happen in your dreams. eventually you will find yourself thinking about it when your actually dreaming. Then if all goes well you will remember to do a reality check at that point. Even if you don't really believe your dreaming. Then you may have a surprise when you find out you actually are. It can be quite a shock sometimes.

And if you do a lot of checks during the day. Sometimes you will just do one in the dream out of random habit.

LOL..That's good when your still new but as you gain more and more experience with doing it you won't have to do so many just focus more on the trigger which is the determining factor if you will do the check in the dream or not.

Well some people need more than others. I do tons of nose RC's.
The important thing though, is to really look around and question if there is anything dreamlike about the moment your in. For me the mental questioning and staying observant, is what really makes me think about it in the dream.

The reality check is to prove it when I'm not sure.
