First of all, hello everyone. I have been going through this forum for quite a while now, without registering. Now that I had my first lucid experience I would like to join you.
I remember last night, or should I say morning (I went to sleep at 6 a.m.), I had the strong wish to become lucid that very night. I did not really use my internal voice to convince myself, it was just a strong emotion. I don't remember the part of the dream where I was not lucid. The first thing I remember of the dream is that I was staring at my hands at a Metro station. I immediately recognized that they were not looking the same as they look during wake time. Wooosh, I became lucid.
A couple of weeks ago I realized I was in a dream and woke up the next moment. This time I was prepared. I did not check to feel if my body is lying in bed, rather I started to look at my surroundings. Soon, my focus had become very strong and I was very confident in my success. I don't want to go through the whole dream because I don't remember much and I know it was not something extraordinary. The only thing that is very funny is that during the whole experience I was reminding myself to not forget to wake up as soon as I feel that I'm losing control. At some point I realized the time had come, so I tried to wake myself up. As I woke up I started sharing the whole story with my girlfriend. I remember that I even had problems remembering a lot back then. After I told her I must have lost it.
At 2pm I finally woke up to realize that my mind had played a trick on me and nothing about my experience had been said. I also realized that now I remember very little but the feeling that I have done cool stuff remains. I'm looking forward to tonight and hope the best.
Finally, I want to thank you all for the words of wisdom that were spoken in this forum and for the confidence you have given me. I will put great effort in dream recall for the next couple of weeks. I want to make sure that next time such an overwhelming experience happens to me I will remember it.
