hear me out, if you realize your dreaming then why do these nightmares annoy you so much? If you know your not gonna get hurt then why not put more time into releasing your potenital? If someones chasing you then turn them into a butterfly or blow them up with an H-bomb, the possibilities are endless. Maybee your not really having a lucid dream after all?

maybe you should try to work on dream control?
that seems like it might be easier than for you to stop lucid dreaming
We are each our own personal god. Never is this more apparent than in our dreams.

      and more rewarding

i think it's your defeatist attitude that's holding you back from being able to take control. that's not a criticism- if i could phrase it better, i would. sorry

If you don't even try to have Lucid Dreams and you can't make them stop, then you need to learn to love fear. You need to make peace with Sleep Paralysis. It is a beautiful thing. It happens every night to everyone whether or not they are aware of it or not and it is for our good. And it is relaxing. Your fear is what is defeating you. Surround yourself in white light in bed before you go to sleep, during the dream, and during sleep paralysis. You need to try to relax and have hope. Yes, have hope. I wish I was a natural like you. These nightmares are a part of yourself that you need to face. Running away is only running away from yourself. Don't shut down. This is a great opportunity for growth. See it for that and feel lucky. Have an optimistic attitude towards it. Imagine how great you will feel once you conquer your fears and you can enjoy Lucid Dreaming fearlessly. Also when you accept that part of yourself the scary stuff represents and you conquer your fears, you will have a lot more life energy available to you in waking life and in dreaming. You will have more lightness in your step. Oh how I hope you don't run away from this opportunity anymore!
Here is a technique to get control over fear so you can have control in your dreams: Take a hot shower. Get all warm. Then turn the water to cold very quickly. Here is the technique: watch your breath. Don't catch your breath or hold your breath but keep your breath calm and smooth and relaxed.
I have a feeling that in your dreams your fear does the same thing the cold water does to you. It makes you freeze up and want to escape. Also this technique is real good for your meridians and chakras and aura. Or you can try jumping into a cold body of water and keeping your breath relaxed.
      Good Luck!
