      hi

hi, im new here , just heard of LD methods and that is posible u are lucid the entire dream yeterday but i been having dreems , not inducted by me just random dreams where i wake up and say this is a dream , like when some fantoms apear and im really scared i sayd a couple of times this is a dream ure not real , so the fear faded away or i wake up for real ,

another thing is that i been having dreams lately in which im flying over buildings , i really enjoyed them and were very relaxing , i remember they were 4-5 times , and that is what i recall , just flying over building , or falling but i never get down i just fly

couple of nights ago i was very tired and sleepy and i went to sleep and just watched what was going on in my head, i saw some flashes and then blackness, and stayed wake in my mind , didnt move at all , images were very big and then very small very fast , i stayed like that for an hour or so , and then i wake up cause i was scared , it was like i was in space and images were growing in my head , so far what i've read here this might been a start of a WILD , so please tell me , and if it is possible that u make a WILD without sleeping but being really tired and sleepy. this was when i didnt ever heard of wild LD or this things about dreaming.

last night when i read this stuff about LD-s and WILD-s i tried to go to sleep , i saw some flashes and that blackness and i tried imagining some dreams , and after 20 30 min i sensed some touches on my body , and some moves , some iches, but i stayed on put , but didnt really started dreaming , images were forming and were a bit clear and then faded away , i was costantly having the idea that im in bead , and i felt my arms and body like i was in bed . so some advices , am i on the right track ?

yes you are on the right check and it sounds like you had or almost had a LD.

Okay since your body was tired is what it sounds like it feel asleep before your mind did the "itches" and "moves" were signals that your body was sending to your mind to say hey are you asleep and if you don't respond then your body falls asleep which is when you are in SP and your body starts vibrating. don't let this scare you. I would recommend you start dream recalling or to start a dream journal but congrats on having a WILD those are the hardest. when you even glimpse a dream you should "open" your LDing eyes (just imagine your eyes being opened) and if the dream is fuzzy try looking at your hands(not real ones) and if the dream still is fuzzy after that try "rubbing" your hands together and if it still doesn't work try imagining the suncoming out or like the dream just getting clearer. sorry this is so long just ask if your have any more questions and i will try to answer them to the best of my abilities.

      Welcome To Dream Views!

Yup, sounds like you were experiencing hypnagogic imagery, And some sleep paralysis. It's nothing to be afraid of, that stuff is natural and generally pretty fascinating to experience.

It does sound like your on the right track with WILDing. Though you may want to try other methods as well.

      Good Luck!

10x very much for reply , i was scared a lot the first time cause i didn`t heard about this kind of dreaming and i didn`t know why those images were making so fast in my head . i hope i have a full LD, it sounds cool like flying , i did it 4-5 times in my own random dream , but i knew the second 3rd time im dreaming and i just enjoyed it , i was flying above buildings and a lake , i hope i`ll have some other dreams like that cause it was out of this world, almost real sensation

      cheers

      Welcome to Dream Views, dejvn.
Pretty neat that you figured all this out through your own experimentation.

Keep exploring that hazy zone between awake and asleep. If you can become comfortable in that hypnagogic stage, you will get some awesome WILDs.

You mention that you were very tired when you first tried the WILD. Your mind was probably entering a REM dreaming period right away. If you want to try again, I would recommend doing the same thing after 4-5 hours of sleep. Its a lot easier to WILD in the middle of your sleep cycle.

      Welcome to the forum.

RC means Reality Check, you do it to make sure you're dreaming. Say if you saw a pink elephant, you know it can't be real, so you do a Reality Check.

An example is to look at your hands, your brain can't generate hands properly in dreams so it forces your hands to look wrong in your dream, and that's what you're looking for. You look at your hands, you find out something's wrong, then you know you're dreaming. Sounds simple but it requires time and patience.

reality check it is the best method, i think, for people who are trying to LD for the first time. how i do RC is plug my nose and mouth and try to breathe you should do it on a regular schedule so that your body just does it while you sleep. Jdeadevil has some good ways to do it also
