      I kinda did it...

Well, I was able to become aware that I was asleep and dreaming, but after I realized that I was asleep everything went white... It was a pretty powerful experience, kindof like being flashbanged, but not as unplesant. So... When I realized I was asleep, everything went white. After the white had faded, nothing was there. Everything was black, and I thought "Well this sucks. Why isn't anything happening?". I woke myself up, mostly out of boredom, and went back to sleep. The same thing happened again, but after I woke myself up from sleep and went back too sleep again I didn't become aware again. Now: What did I do wrong? The dreams I had where rather abstract, all I remember was the wheel from an airplane with a ribbon attached to it. That was what triggered my awareness. So: How should I do next time to start making stuff happening?

You brain entered a new realm of consciousness (the lucid dream,) and it had never done that before so it didn't know what was happening so it panics and aborted your dream to try and figure out what was going on. Once you get used to the fact that you can be asleep and be aware of it your brain will stop panicking. It shouldn't happen next time, your lucid dreams will just get longer and longer and more complex. I promise

And to DV! If you haven't already check out the Tutorial Section and specifically the DILD tutorial. You should also check out the homepage sections about reality checks and dream signs. Feel free to ask question.

      :O No cookies?

Oh, this makes perfect sense! Thank you very much for the quick reply! So, next time, I will be able to (hopefully) start actually "dreaming" while I'm lucid, right?

      On the tutorials:
I checked all of them, I simply use DILD with a lot of willpower with it. Not sticking to a strict guideline seems to work for me, and just trying to spot signs of dreaming is good enough, that's what got me lucid both of those times.

      Thank you very much!

None of the tutorials are supposed to have strict guidelines, that's bad for lucid dreams. All lucid dreamers are different so they all have to tweak each technique to work for them.

No, we can't have cookies because they get eaten by this guy

Being in your room isn't as boring as you might think, look under your bed or in your closet, there is often some crazy stuff in there.
