      Newbie here with questions!

Didn't realize there was a place for me to post all my stupid and newbish questions ...

Most of my dreams are based on real life events or realistic stuff, nothing unusual or strange happening, so DILD doesn't really work for me. I want to try out WILD but the problem is I have trouble in relaxing, I can't seem to relax no matter what methods I use or try ... this leads to another question ...

When I try to relax and do deep breaths, should I breathe with my chest or stomach?

When I try to relax on my bed and do any method related to counting, I'll eventually have some saliva choking me a little and I'll have to swallow it and then my body gets tensed up again, any idea what could help?

      Thanks

I believe you're supposed to breathe through your stomach rather than your chest.

As for the saliva... not sure about that... are you counting out loud? You don't have to count out loud.

One tip I read... I forgot where now, was to count "one, I'm dreaming, two, I'm dreaming, three, I'm dreaming" etc while trying to WILD.

I often have other lucids that I forget or that I don't record for whatever reason.

I'm not much of a WilDer, But when I do it I just relax and focus on not thinking words. I just wait until sounds and images start to enter my mind on there own.

Even when you dream about mundane things there should be something about your dreams that are different from everyday life.

Anyway, whats really important is to get yourself to think about whether or not your dreaming while in a dream. You don't always have to notice something odd for that to happen. You just have to question whether or not your dreaming enough when your awake. So that you will eventually do it while your sleeping.

Sometimes you will just become Lucid spontaneously.
