Welcome to Dream Views, Chewnie91.

Check out the Quick Start Tutorial in the Tutorials section:
http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ead.php?t=1518

It covers the basics of keeping a dream journal, identifying dream signs, and reality checking.

Once you feel comfortable understanding those concepts, you can move into more active lucid induction techniques. Things like MILD, WILD, DEILD, VILD, ect. If you are excited, and want to get more active, start integrating a Wake Back To Bed (WBTB) into your schedule a couple nights a week. Its basically where you wake up for a while after 5 hours of sleep, get your brain active and focused on dreaming, and then return to sleep for the rest of the night. Its pretty easy to do, and can greatly increase your chances of a spontaneous lucid.
