what you are tyying to say is that the feel for your dreams becomes bland as opposed to something that would be super exciting. that happens to me too, my initial dreams were more exciting than the ones that I get now

any suggestions on increasing the excitement level of your lucid dreams

Well, why not change location, make things more colorful and vibrant, enter a favorite book or movie.. there's so many things to do to make it exciting. There are a couple of threads on here titled something like "Things to do in a Lucid Dream"....

Edit: Also, before you fall asleep, it's really good to read an engrossing novel.. that will warm up your imagination, so it'll be ready for when you dream.

Try to start off your dream by commanding people to srtart chasing you. Its bound to get exciting.

keep in mind im completely new at this. Its kind of wierd tho. i attempted to fly once, & it was still far from satisfying. once i do loose my control tho, it isnt like that any more. it can actualy get better even. am i making any sence?

Maybe you're trying to fly in the wrong location. If you're in a place where there's really nothing, around, then it's not going to be fun. Go to a city with lot of really tall buildings and maybe a river and try to see how fast you can go. Maybe try to get into a race with some other characters. Try to remain positive, though, and thing's will seem better.
