Hi, LD newbie with a few Q's

Hi everybody, I'm very intrigued about LD but my main concern is i dont understand how to get into a dreming state where you then look for a "sign"

      Basically i mean,
i can remember atleast one dream a night quite well without a journal (although i am now going to use a journal to try and recall dreams more thoroughly) but how can i subconsciously know when /how to do a reality check as when my dream is happening, everything just seems so real and i feel unable to "think" that i am dreaming as at the time in my dream all just seems kinda realistic and theres no urge to RC or to even think i am dreaming

Is this just the beginners step to try and focus on, when i am dreaming is to subconsciously think "right now i'm dreaming, do a RC"?

sorry if this sounds like complete gobbledygook lol

      **EDIT**

I also have common dreams of planes crashing whether im on board or see it in the distance but because it just seems real and shocking at the time how do i "unlock the door to control it"

and i also (take last night for example) wake up about 4/5am most mornings on several occasions and fall back to sleep quite quickly where i then have sometimes 3 to 4 different dreams between each time waking up, are there any tips of gaining LD easier whilst waking up at these times?

once again sorry if its all confusing as its hard for me to explain

practice would fix your RC problem. If you constantly are looking at your envirement, itr will stimulate RCs. Its worked a few times for me, but you can't get out of the habit. It takes forever and isn't relible, so i personally reccomend another method.

Dreamsign! I tag my mind to things, so if everytime you are in a plane you do a very reliable RC, i.e. nose-plugging, powers, push finger through hand (this only work if you assure yourself its possible)

Never doubt you're dreaming (tip: don't ask your friends if you are dreaming. very, very awkward situation)

thanks for the quick reply, after browsing various websites etc Dreamsign does seem the most easiest way of LD but because im caught up in my dream so much..eg, Im clinging to the passenger seat so hard as the plane is heading to the ground, i feel as if i never have the opportunity to do a dreamsign, I just suppose this is something that could take me months or even years to learn, maybe im just trying to run before i can even crawl. Although with my early morning wakeing i do feel as i have been close a few times without even realising it

About RC's- If you ever see something out of the ordinary during the day, do an RC. If you get in the habit of doing an RC every time you see something that seems weird, you will most likely do it in a dream. At least, that's what ive heard, and it seems logical.
