      Return to Lucid Dreaming

Hey everyone. I haven't been by in months, but I haven't forgot what a cool place this is.

Just writing to say that though I haven't been working very hard on LDing lately, I had a random LD about a month ago and have had extremely vivid dreams since then - all without the effort I once put into this.

So, my question is: can anyone recommend a trick for me to use tonight? Maybe a WILD technique you're fond of?

I realize this is a pretty pointless post, but I wanted to say hey again. I can delete this post tomorrow and hopefully start posting regularly again.

      back.

I don't do WILD, but I could recommend doing a WBTB with a meditation session in the middle of it. That works nicely for me to end a dry spell.

Thanks, Ninja. I've never been good with the WBTB technique, but maybe I'll give it a shot tonight!

Also, does anyone know where the "Funny Things Your Dream Characters Said" thread went to? I loved that thread.

I'm sure just being back here a little more and wanting a lucid dream will greatly increase your shot of having lucid dreams for a little while.

Also welcome back, I havn't been posting much lately either but now that school is out and its summer vacation I hope to do so more. This place has kinda fallen apart with everyone mad at Asher all the time and alot of the staff stepping down but for right now it's holding on.

That's disappointing. I've seen comments like that all over the joint since coming back, but haven't seen any of the actual problems. I hope I don't come across them either, because this was my last hope of a cool and civil message board.

Nice! What did you end up doing? Just a spontaneous DILD? Or did you try WBTB like Ninja suggested?

Yeah, it was random and I woke up almost as soon as I realized I was dreaming. I had been talking to my friend about dreams when I thought "waaaaait a seeeecond." I tried to grab something in the dream to keep it going, but failed as usual

The interesting this is that when I got back to sleep, I was still talking to my friend about dreaming and then this purple haired guy appeared and I was really scared of him. My friend told me his name was Dragon Warrior and that he was one of the "sprit walkers" that people on Dreamviews talk about.

Is that right? Spirit Walker? That's what he was called in the dream. He was one of those guys who walks through dreams and threatens people. Anyway, I was nervous and feared being sucked into perpetual sleep, so me and my friend got as far away from him as possible.

The purple hair guy sounds like a real creep.

I never understood what the spirit walker/ dream walkers are supposedly going to do to you. They are trying to trap you in perpetual sleep? That doesn't sound so bad. I would be more scared of them trying to wake me up prematurely

Yeah, I don't know much about them and never feared them, but he was like a vivid image in a dull dream and he really creeped me out. Made me wonder if there's any truth to it.
