Thread: Did I just come at a bad time?

I lurked here a while and read some great threads. Now that I've joined up it seems like there is not much interest in discussing dream science. Not much sense of community either, to be honest. The whole site feels like a big rehashed private argument. Am i wrong?

No, the arguing is pretty much just the people in the lounge, here in the dreaming forums there is still lots of discussing of dreams and such.

Na, it's still a great place for dreaming. You just need to tune out the drama seekers, and focus on dreaming. And you will have a great time here.

Just wait until there is a new soon-to be atmosphere of calm.
Things here will work out, in time.
There are alot of great people here to suffiently keep a healthy dream community going. Two of them already posted here.

That's exactly how I felt, joining today. Especially since the science of the brain and sleep patterns is a relatively new field, I mean, compared to spirit unicorns or whatever. Read my thread, sift through to the science section somewhere's way down.

I think maybe if the place didn't have a religious forum that called people believing in religion "goofy religious zealots" and encourage ridiculous debates it would be a nicer place. It's like they recommend people to argue and insult. The lounge is a crappy community but if you just stay away from that part you should have a good time, when it comes to dreams I think there isn't much hostility.

I also should add that I point out the religion forum to be a huge insult to my beliefs and that a forum about LD shouldn't be so hostile towards spirituality? ?doesn't make sense to me? But whatever. =P

That's just one example. I have seen many arguments in other parts of the lounge about stupider things.
