Hello all.

Recently, I've been having some horrifically tragic and upsetting dreams about people and I researched ways to change that.

I came across Lucid Dreaming about a week ago and have been performing daily RC's to help with my dreams.

Last night, I attempted my first WILD. I had the alarm go off about 5 hours after I usually go to sleep, which really annoyed me. I got up, all grouchy, and looked at a little check list of things I had to do. I had a slash, entered relaxation and-

Well, I'd like to say I entered the transitional phase, but I'm not sure if I did or not. I was totally relaxed, saying "I am dreaming". I felt a kind of heaviness of my body. Was that the transition? If so, it wasn't so bad.

Now, here's the clincher. I read that when you start dreaming in a WILD, you can have a false awakening. I dreamt that my ma came in to my room to check if I was okay (bless her). I said yes, and went to sleep.

I asked my ma in the morning if she came in to my room last night, and she said no.

So I must have been dreaming. But it seemed uber-real. And, when I supposedly "went back to sleep" I entered another dream. Which really blew.

So, after that I think I might give up WILDing, because the alarm really ticked me off. I might just try to do reality checks in my dream. BUT-

If I'm not in control of my dream, how can I perform a RC? I thought "conciousness" only leaked over from my waking life into my dreams if I was lucid. So, how can I peform a check to see if I'm lucid if I don't "conciously" remember to do it in the dream?

This is really bumming me out.
Any help would be really great. Ta
