half WILD?

so last night when i went to bed i was laying there concentrating on pretty much falling asleep but staying conscious, this was my first attempt ever to try to WILD i don't really know if it was a WILD but it was pretty weird and figured i'd share it: as soon as i went to bed last night as i said earlier i was trying to concentrate on keeping my conscience while i fell asleep, the next thing i know i hear nothing around me anymore (i have a fan on all the time) and i see like a 1 inch wide vertical line that's filled with black blocking out the sides going from side to side and there's a piece of paper it's looking at all the while i was still conscious and i knew i was dreaming and right then i twitched and woke back up lol, so was this a WILD or no? it didn't last long at all, maybe 10 seconds before i twitched i attached an image of what i saw, sorta, except the paper had writing on it and the line moved side to side.
