WILD what did i do wrong?

I made a WBTB then i counted my in and exhales to 100 then i tried the pain anchor. I don't think it worked then i tried FILD not sure if that worked either but i remember i was very close because i got some dizzy feeling. And i could hear waves behind my ears so i was thinking this is it im entering a lucid dream but then after a minute the progress stopped or something i performed a RC to be sure and i wasn't in a lucid dream what went wrong?.

You really cant expect it to work the first time, mate. The problem was most likely this: your subconsciously getting excited (similiar to adrenaline) you may not be thinking it, but your mind is feeling "hey this is new and this is cool" and when you get excited it doesnt allow your body to finally enter that 100% sleep, so you never reach your lucid dream. Keep at the WILD until it becomes very natural and eventually it will work.

Yeah thats my problem too, when i got to the hynogogic stage i started focusing on it too much in the sense i was thinking "am i there yet", but up to that point i was not trying to do anything other than focus on my breathing. I just rembered something else i experienced too. When using 4/2 breathing (breath in to count of 4, hold for 2, out for 4, hold for two etc) After awhile i went into a trance and it seemed like my lungs could take in alot more air to the extreme, what i realised upon awakening was that my breathing had slowed right down and i was picking up on that from an altered state. It almost felt like i was breathing in air to all my body instead of just my lungs. I'm guessing that is just another part of the transition to a WILD
