      New here

Hello everybody, im new to this site, not to LD but to a lot of the techniques. I heard about this site from a friend, we were talking about dreaming lucid dreaming and ways to get to this state as well as how to stay in this state.

When i was a young child i wacthed a star trek episode about creatures that could effect you through dreams, one of the characters had to become aware he was dreaming by recognizing an object in his dream, in this case the moon. when i went to bed i thought a lot about this and eventually saw the moon in my dream, it instantly triggered that i was dreaming and i had controll for a few seconds but then woke up. since then i have acquired many "hints" that i am dreaming and can enter a state of awareness in my dreams fairly easy, but i can never hold them for very long, I always seem to wake up really soon, or relatively soon. I am hoping that by using the techniques found on this site i can have a greater understanding and control of my dream life and the beauty i know it to hold

Ummmm i little about me, im an outdoor enthusiast, poiist, and very interested in the exploration of the psychic energys within our reality.

I've never seen that episode, but I do remember someone mentioning it. I wish lucid dreaming made it into popular culture more. It seems so few people even know it is possible.

There are a lot of tricks you can use to stay lucid. Do you find yourself waking up too quickly, or slipping back into a non-lucid dream?

I've read a couple books that include Lucid Dreaming as a side action, but nothing where it is the soul focus.

Check out the tutorial section for help on dream journals, dream signs, reality checks, and DILD. Those are the ones that you should start with
