hey all... have just started looking into LD's..., and was wondering, is SP generally considered an unpleasant experience? a lot of people talk about the terror associated with SP and i was just wondering if that happens for everyone... |

No, it doesn't happen for everyone. From what I've seen SP is usually not a negative experience for those who seek it out. They'll just be paralyzed and feel some strange (not necessarily unpleasant) sensations with no fear or hallucinations or anything. |

I have felt SP quite a few times now, the first couple of times it seemed unpleasant but that changed and now I actually quite enjoy SP. I would not call it a negative experience from what I have felt, nor would I associate SP with terror. |

Believe me... you shouldn't be afraid |

i just now had experienced my first sp. it scared hell out of me but i didnt get any hallucinations. the first couple times it may be scary just because you cant move. |

I have heard some people say SP can feel like your blanket turns to lead, which is interesting because i used to have what i thought were nightmares a hell of a lot when i was a kid where that happened, and i became paralized. Although then i had nothing to compare it to and experienced it as frightening, if only i knew then what i know now. |
