Thread: End of Days 2012 Dream

Creepy. You know, both Nostradamus (a prophet) and the Mayans predicted that the world would end in 2012. The Mayans were more specific. Researchers have translated the exact date that they gave as the day the world would end as December 21st, 2012.

I don't believe in it, though. I'm Christian and the book of Revalations doesn't mention 2012.

I wouldn't worry about it. You probably heard about 2012 somewhere and then dreamed about it because it was on your mind, even though it isn't real/true. Just like Paperdoll. Maybe not. *snicker*

are you sure the mayan's predicted it ends in 2012? i know at 2012 the mayan calender "era" or whatever ends and it would start a new one, that's about all i've heard. nostradamus also made predictions that never happened, i'm sure the same is with the mayans. the future isn't set in stone so they don't know what's going to happen ;D i can make predictions like they did and it'll be true. for instance.. i predict someone dies of gunfire in the U.K. tonight.

You're right, I think that my post needs some clarification. The Mayans said that on December 21st, 2012, the gods would destroy the earth with fire, snakes, and a bunch of other fun things. Then the world would be born anew and a new era of men would come into being and rule once again. Happy?

But, as I previously stated, I actually don't believe in those predictions. On December 22nd, 2012, I'm gonna wake up and laugh.

Do you read up a lot on eschatology? Are you concerned about the end of the world?

I doubt the world is ending in 2012 and I don't believe in propothetic dreams. But dreams like this can still be very distressing and may signal something you fear.

no i'm sorry, they said nothing about the world ending, or being destroyed in any way or form, when they searched mayan cities and ruins they found calenders and one calender known as the "long count" calender is the calender they're going by to get this "end of world" date because the day resets to 0 every 1,872,000 days and the next reset day is supposedly december 21st 2012, and the mayans didn't say the world was going to end they said it's a transition into a new world age, the message they give concerns our making a choice of how we enter the future ahead, our moving through with either resistance or acceptance will determine whether the transition will happen with cataclysmic changes or gradual peace and tranquility

i'd find it hard to believe any of their prophecies anyways since they couldn't even see their own destruction.

crazy. It would have been real if you didn't already know about 2012 beforehand.

I hope, for all of our sakes, that prophetic dreams are indeed BS. I've seen Iran fire 2 nucleair missiles, and I've seen the german subs bought by Israel.
I didn't know about the subs when I had the dream. It's probably just a coincidence, but these days you never know

Your dream was truly prophetic. The main message of your dream was that the world was ending and that you and your family were trying to all be together. That is the same message I got from my dream that I just had on 3/19/11

In my dream there was an earthquake there was a large river of water flowing like an ocean with all sorts of debris that was being washed away in the current. I looked up to the sky and saw a large wall or mountain of water reaching far into the heavens, like a tsunami.
I immediately began running around looking for my family and trying to gather everyone up into one place. In my dream the message that embedded itself into my innermost being is that, Time is now, there is none left. We have to make amends with everything and everyone. We have to hold and kiss our loved ones, call who we can, tell them all how much we love them and appreciated them for being a part of our lives, if there are any rifts repair and forgive them, also ask forgiveness, set things strait and make peace with all including yourself, and in love continue living as if it were your last day, dream as if you have a million tomarrows, and have faith and pray.

This is what I got from my dream, I see the similar message in yours. God Bless and keep you and your family in love , infinity

Nice job ressurecting a three-year old thread. Also, dreams mean nothing. It's all comfirmation bias and make-believe. Unless proven otherwise, of course.

Well, 2012 and 13 are close. You'll see, nothing spectacular will happen apart from the usual stuff - war, famine etc etc.

There is at least one person here now who knows how the Scripture is sealed to man's understanding. Again, see Scripture.

An end of an era, does not mean the end of man, or time.

But still, we don't actually know.

How conventient.

It was predictable, really. It's become obvious nothing terrible will happen, so the believers have two choices: setting a new date (they will, eventually, claiming a "misinterpretation" of the non-existent prophecy), or claiming it *did* happen, but in a way we can of course not perceive (or verify).

It's just like believing in God(s). It fails because there's conveniently no way to falsify the claim.

Also, just saying: referring to "scripture" and using cryptic language doesn't prove or verify your claims.

I made no claim. I just said you can find certain things within Scripture, and the same things about the same time, is in more than one place in the text. And, because you have a difficult time with English, does not mean it is crytic.

The definition of sentience is the ability to predict results, history, and even human history. To claim the impossibility to predict results, because of the magnitude of them, is to predict your own impossibility because that is what sentience does, that is its function.
