Yep that sounds like a version of SP. Why do you want to actively try to induce SP? As far as I know, it's something that naturally either happens to you or it doesn't. |

im sure theres something on the internet about how too get SP but ive been proven uneventful. does anyone have any tips? does this occur more often when you WILD? before i started Lucid Dreaming during the night i felt like i was being tossed slowly heads over heels (pretty cool) but i was able to snap out of it easly. was that SP? |

SP was fun for me ( some people not) and im just wondering if its possible to induce it. like some people said its kinda like a rollercoaster (fun). |
Dude I guess it might be fun but the kind that happened to me was scarey as fuck. =/ |
is true SP like not being able to move , kinda like being trapped in your body? |
SP comes in all different shapes and sizes, really. |
What a coincidence. I just wrote up some steps for another thread on inducing SP. |
^ That's the thing GA, I highly doubt that someone who has never experienced SP of any kind will suddenly do so if they follow steps like that. I, for one, have never experienced the frightening type of SP, and I doubt that I will ever be able to induce it. |

Well worked for me first time. Worth a pitch at least. I do see where you're coming from Mes. It still scares me sometimes. Whenever I want to come out all it takes is a sudden attempt in movement, and I'm free. |
Having had a rapid succession of "not voulentary" SP's, Im here to learn as much as I can bout.. pretty much everything surrounding sleep, be it SP or LD. |
When im high and close my eyes and usually my body starts vibrating and feels like im falling through my bed. I didnt know what happened the 1st time, but i try to get that every time now it feels great. I now know that it must be SP. The 1st few times i closed my eyes and focused on the images my mind made and it felt and looked like i was getting further away from them. I find that it also helps to have music on and focus on that. |
For me it's like being really drunk. Or too drunk. When I'm too drunk when I lay down I feel like my body is moving a lot. |
I actually just had one more SP experience last night, I woke up duing the night and notices the time, decided to sleep some more. Not long after that I could feel someting seriously weird starting with my body, it was starting to vibrate and I could hear a large pitch noise. My first reaction was to wake up and shake it off, but I manage to keep myself calm and telling myself to take it easy, wow.. Only lasted for a few more seconds, then I actually got over excited and it was over, eyes open stairing at my wall... Anyhoo, wow - Experiencing SP while knowing what it is.. is awesome, compared to; not knowing what it is |

I like to sleep with the lights on because I feel like it helps me get to the part of SP where it gets really bright. A scene usually forms and I can walk around and look around. |
I usually get SP when I am extremely tired and I can actually feel myself falling asleep. Like I am completely aware during the turning point from wake to sleep. And right when I go into it I get the chills over my body and I can't move but I can see right in front of me. Before I said it used to scare me but now I'm fine with it because I learned how to get out of it. It's as simple as just trying to go back to sleep. Just close your eyes and forget about trying to struggle out of it. |

Someone's afraid of the dark...=P |

SP happens to everyone, all it is is a chemical your brain that sets off during sleep that keeps your body from moving. if the chemical wasn't put off of your brain then whatever you did in your dream you'd do in real life. what you experienced sounds like SP, and there are other feelings you'll get from it to. |

Post #7 sounds promising, but is their any way to help my eyes stay still? |

"What are you, a gangster? Get in that pool!"-Random DC of mine... don't ask.
After struggling to become lucid when sleeping over the past couple of months I tried GestaltAlteration's technique last night. It worked first time for me and ultimately led to a lucid dream. |
