      another question about visualization's

Just a question to people with good visualization's skill's. 1.Where do image's or scene appear in your mind.Same place after image's appear you know those picture's you stare at for 30 seconds.Or is it more like trying to find that 3d space in your head sorta like meditating.

How do you do it? I try and try im getting nowhere I just see faint colorless after image. Do you have to be in a certain state of mind? Right now im just looking at picture's and trying to see them as they would appear in 3d space as if i were actually there. And im also trying to using all my sense's is that the right way to go? But how doe's it work do they just appear or do they slowly start to appear? Im just wondering what happens when you know your about to see somthing. Example flickering eye's or seeing spark's just wondering. And to snowyegypt i was just trying to figure out where do visualization take place in a meditative state or by just focusing on the darkness behind your eye's.

      Ah, ok.

I'm like ninja, kinda. Although I really don't have to focus at all. I just think about a place, and I see it in my head. I can see it with my eyes closed, too. I'm actually doing it right now, and my eyes aren't even closed. It's all about doing it. I really don't know how to give you any other advice, though. I could see stuff without trying for as long as I can remember.

Mine don't appear in my eyes. I seem to hold my visualizations in an area above and behind my head. This is the same area that I try to place my point of view when I am increasing my awareness during the day.

You should be able to experiment with different locations to hold your point of view or visualizations. Try focusing on different areas of your body, or empty space around your body when you meditate. Then you can find a place that is natural for you.

Robot_Buttler.. this is my first post, shortly im gonna post up in the newbs section so everyone knws my story

but just reading through these posts i came across your input into this discussion and was amazed.. (i might just add ive had a few puffs on the green. not much haha but still might change how you feal about my enthusiasm.)

anyways.. reading about how you hold your visualizations in an area above and behind your head. and use this same area to place your pov etc. and how you"focus on different areas of your body, or empty space around your body when you meditate" put a smile on my face, expecially reading this...Then you can find a place that is natural for you ' when talking about just being able to imagine and see things in your head, ever since being a kid. I'm the same, since i can remember i could just imagine and see things in my head. and i could feal im using a part of my mind thats different.. 'off to the side'. and still right now when i concentrate i get that familiar fealing of using that different part of my mind, off to the side.. that natural 'space'.

i believe when your trying to picture and store something in a part of your mind that feals outside your body, your actually just stretching out within your mind and into new but active parts of your brain. see as we only activiely use something like 15% off our brain we can conciously reach out and delve into the new parts of our mind, the parts that feal out of our body, out of what we know and understand....

but anyways to sum up, basicaly im just stoked how your post opened my eyes again to 'that part of my mind'. "my natural space". ive always recognized it, but now i know exactly where to focus more of my energy

      thanks for the reminder

Cool, I'm glad you knew what I was talking about. I was afraid I was talking jibberish. It is a little hard to describe how we think. It is especially hard to try to describe where we think.

I'm always surprised by how people can percieve things so differently. I just assume that everyone has a natural way of thinking that is unique to who they are. Even the simplest of things can be surprisingly different person to person.

I wonder if the location we think about does relate to our brains somehow. Like how they say eye movement can signal what part of the brain someone is accessing. I wonder if we will ever figure this stuff out. Recently I've been frustrated by the lack of distribution of knowledge. There has been a ton of research done on the human brain, but nobody seems to really care. It seems to me like this knowledge doesn't do us much good if it doesn't make its way out into the general populus. Maybe one day there will be a "Manual to The Human Mind" that we can hand our children the day they are born.
