Thread: I have had a dream but am afraid to talk to anyone about it

I've had two dreams that scare me very much because I don't know what they are saying about who I am. You see I am a very sexually docile person, in fact I've had a few past girlfrieds break up with me becasue I wouldnt kiss them, an odd trait for a 17 year old boy to possess. But see I used to have this girlfriend (2 year relationship) and we did a lot of physical things up to and including sex, but only twice. Now there's the backstory, here's the dreams.

They both involve me raping someone, but it isnt just raping them, I normally do something very very violent to them while I'm doing it, such as cutting them open isome fashion and tehn theres blood and stuff. I really don't want to go into any detail because I am very very ashamed of these dreams, I feel like there's somethign terribly terribly wrong with me, people shouldnt dream like this. I don't know what to do I know I should get a hold of a real octor but I thought maybe someone here could help to to get idea of whats wrong or where I could find some more help online.

oh and in no way were these dreams lucid, they just happened and i thought you guys would know a lot of stuff about dreams.

hey, dont worry so much, dreaming violence and or sex doesnt mean you're fucked up (well, maybe it does, but not in a "bad" way)
it may be related, of course, to your sexual inhibitions/respression
it may also be related to you seeing the sex act as something violent and gross, and then your subconscious (busy twsited little fella!) translated your "normal" thoughts into something that, watched from a "logical" perspective, would seem rather gross
again, dont worry, even the "normalest(hehe)" person in the world can have a fucked up dream

Reg is right. Even the most normal person will have really weird dreams. How many times do they happen?

Anyway its nothing to worry about. if it bothers you that much, then make it your dream sign or do dream incubation

I once had a dream that I killed somebody and proceeded to carve up their body (like a steak) while repeating the phrase, "Hot meat... hot meat..." over and over again.

Needless to say: I woke up from that dream rather disturbed, but seeing my familiar bed, room and wife near me reminded me that it was just a dream and not a psycho.

Now who wants to come over to my place for some BBQ?!?!? =)PPP

Yes, I agree with everyone else.. I also have done some messed up things in my dreams (though nothing violent). Don't worry about it.

Change your ways my friend, perhaps the fact that your not physical enough is the reason you find your self performing the ultimate physical act on someone (rape and murder). The fact that you dont like doing those things is probably just a state of mind you have developed throughout the years you keep telling yourself something that perhaps to protect yourself from having your heart broken. Maybe you can do an experiment and with your next girlfriend try to be a diffrent person with her, dont be yourself. By this i mean make out with her as much as possible and maybe even sex. During this time when you are not yourself see if these dreams reoccur.
