      Red face New on Dreamviews! Tips/Advice?

      Hullo! I've been lurking around on this site for about half a week now, and I figure now's probably as good a time as any to make my first post.

      I'm not completely new to LDing. I made a series of serious attempt to LD about two years ago, but to no avail. I tried WILDing, MILDing, and many other techniques, and although I did have very very good dream recall (with the help of my dream journal,) the problem was that by habit, I fall asleep really quickly and easily, sleep deeply, and never remember to RC in my dreams, despite the consistent RCs I do while awake. So after my complete and utter lack of results after a couple months, I gave up.

      Anyway, after a chance encounter with LaBerge's Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming at a book sale, I'm back at it again, and I've resolved not to give up so easily this time. I'm getting back into the habit of RCing regularly, keeping a dream journal and all that business, and although I've had no real results yet, the process is going pretty well. If any of you experienced LDers have any wise words of advice or tips, I'd love to hear them!

      I look forward to hanging out on the forums and getting to know you all on Dreamviews soon! ;D

      The dancing muffins and I welcome you to Dreamviews!

      It's good that you had good recall when you tried a few years ago. Recall is always helpful when it comes to lucid dreaming. Don't give up so easily this time, ya gotta be patient! Read this guide, it's the most helpful one you can find:

      Good luck, and remember, patience.

      The best advice I can give you is to learn to identify your dreamsigns. These are things that you often dream about, such as a house you used to live in, packing suitcases, forgetting homework, etc. Look through your dream journal to see if you can find a few things along these lines that you have dreamt about more than once or twice.

      For every new dream you have where one of these signs comes up, stop to think about that moment in the dream again. Ask yourself why it didn't make you wonder why you were dreaming. The more you think about your dreamsigns, the more likely something will ring a bell for you the next time one of them pops up in a dream. And when it happens, it's the perfect moment for that RC.

      Thanks for the welcome from you and your muffins! Yes, I'll try to be more patient this time. By the way, I checked out your link and read the whole thing. Really good! I'll try to utilize some of the things Billybob said in my attempts tonight!

      @skysaw
      Thanks a bunch! I'll do just that! ;D

      Victorybear!
      My experience of getting back into LDing was similar to yours, except I saw LDing being addressed on a TV show. I didnt get my first time around, but Ive had many since Ive gotten back into LDing though! I have a feeling that your fate in LDing will be the same as mine, so stick with it.

      And the advice the two above me gave you is legit so I wont repeat what they've said. However, Ive noticed that you attempted WILDs a few times, so if you should choose to do so, let me know and I would be glad to help!

      Thanks WolfeDreamer531! I hope you're right about that second time around getting LDs business! I appreciate the encouragement! And if I do have problems with WILDing again, I guess I know who to go to for help now! ; )
