Exclamation Hey everybody I need some help.

      Hey,
My names Marrisa but all my friends call me Sassy or Sas for short ( you can call me any of the 3 I don't care which one). I'm 16 & I live in Texas ( I've lived here all my life). I love acting ( I've been in theater since 5th grade).
I had my first ld a couple of nights ago, it lasted about 8 seconds. I googled it & found this site.
I have a ? about sleeping though if anybody can help me get over this it would be awsome
It's really hard for me to get to sleep becouse I'm terrified of the dark, I have been my whole life & I can't seem to get over it. Even if I have my bedroom or bathroom light on I'm still freaked out. Every noice I hear at night scares the crap out of me, becouse of this I don't get much sleep ( if I'm lucky I'll get 6 hours). I also get night-terrors every few months. There really vivid, it seems like I'm in the dream ( but I don't know I'm dreaming).
If anybody knows how I can get over this please tell me. Thanks.

Welcome to the site! I live in Texas too! If you are afraid of the dark, then you would probably prefer DILD. That is the tequnique where you relize you are dreaming while you are dreaming. Pretty much all of the others require you to be awake. You should start doing reality checks, or RC's for short. For example, plug your nose and try to breathe. If you can still breathe, then you must be dreaming. If you do a reality check during a dream, then you will relize you are dreaming and become lucid! Sorry about the dark thing... maybe you could use earplugs to combat the noise factor?

      Good luck and happy dreaming,
      Puppycat
