Lay in bed for a minute after waking up and don't move. Your brain turns it's dream memory back on because it thinks that it's going back to sleep. You should then be able to recall your dreams.

Wow, I never thought of doing that. I usually scramble for my journal the second I wake up. :O

Aye, in Steven Laberges EWOLD he says that when you wake up you should try to remember your dream before even moving...there seems to be a built in trigger to forget your dreams if you move after waking.

The only tips I can give you are to get a better, CONSISTENT sleeping schedule, and the attempt to manage your stress.

But you must already know that.

Do reality checks! They'll come to you soon enough. You have to be very patient when it comes to dreaming.

I believe that dreams are much like rodents. The moment they hear someone, or see something - they run.

      My advise starts with:

Keep your eyes closed when you regain conciseness is the most helpful thing that I, personally, have experimented with and found to be vital.

Also, dreams get scared of light - and especially voices. Every sleep that my roommate/mom has woken me up saying my name over and over again, I can't ever seem to remember my dream.

well that sucks.. cus my stereo's alarm clock goes turns onto a radio station or a cd track to wake me up... i gotta get up before my parents so i cant rely on them to wake me up just for the sake of a dream

So, that wasn't a perfect simile. Regardless, I am fortunate enough to have an internal clock that helps. If I wake up, for instance, at 0800 for two days in a row, then on the third day I will wake up at 0800 without any alarm.

You could try setting your stereo to 5 minutes earlier each day, then after the third or fourth day set it back 15/20 minutes to the original time and see if you wake up naturally. It could take much longer to develop that sleeping habit, but I really do think that waking up naturally is the greatest help for remembering dreams - personally.
