why cant i become lucid? i have some vivid dreams but i cant seem to control them at all, ive tried various methods but still cannot become lucid. is it possible that a person cannot become lucid whatever they do? i really want to lucid dream and to have them frequently. any ideas on the best way to do this?

how long have you been trying? it can take you a loooong time (maybe a year). well the best way for beginners is to do reallity checks whenever you can and to do DILDS, but if you wanna be assured to have a LD, you should train WILDing, or a subgroub of WILDing wich i prefer: DEILD check DILD, WILD, or DEILD here: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ead.php?t=2954 hope that helps. ^^

Keep trying it took me about a month to have my first lucid dream but it can take a lot longer. You said you have tried various methods, perhaps you should persist with one particular method for a while, before moving on to other methods, some methods will suit you more than others it took me ages to have my first DILD but I had a WBTB on my first attempt.Keep up the good work and good luck.

Ok first of all NEVER say you cannot lucid, that is the same thing i said when i first started and i have had many lucid dreams now. It all will come in time, your trying to teach your brain something which it has never experienced before. Do reality checks every hour or so and keep a dream journal.. You CAN lucid dream

it can take a long time for some people. Sometimes the only thing is that you don't know how to go about starting. It's always hardest when you don't know what technique works best for you. It takes trial and error. once you get it a couple times things will be easier. Just keep at it, be patient, try but don't try too hard, write in your DJ every day, do reality checks, don't get frustrated, and then along with all that find out which technique works best for you, even if it takes a while to figure it out. so I would suggest reading up on as many tutorials as you can and then try the one you think would work best. Go off that and if it doesn't work, move on to a different technique after about a week or two.

Everyone can become lucid. You need to train your mind to recognize dream signs and doing reality checks. Don't be discouraged if it takes a while to get your first, once you've had a few they should come much more easily.
