      Questions

Ok, Ive been trying for 5 or so days, and no cigar yet. How long did it take for you guys to be able to have an LD? Ive been trying to do RC's whenever I remember to, which is at random times of the day. Is that the best way to do it for now? And also, Ive been keeping a dream journal, and all of my dreams are still spotty, and I heard that moving makes it harder to remember. But I do have to turn off my alarm clock, which always seems to make me forget my dreams. Any tips?

Yeah, if you can help it, try not to move when you first wake up from a dream, or sleep in general. Movement kills recall for me too, so I can relate. Keep recording your dreams, no matter how spotty, and keep doing RCs. The most important thing is to be patient. Personally, it took me 7 months to have my 1st. But that's because I'm a lazy Lucid Dreamer. Just give it a little time.

Just out of curiosity, what method are you using, if you're using any?

Well, Ive been trying whatever I can. I might try a real WILD this weekend, but other than that, I have messed around with WILDs straight to bed, which I get to SP, and then Im tired and fall asleep.

Hmm...have you tried this version of WILD? It's much easier to execute, in my opinion.

Thanks for the post. Maybe Ill try the whole thing on the weekend, since weekdays are hard to manage. Would it be worth it trying the whole thing the FIRST time going to sleep (like straight to sleep?)

Don't try WILD until you are an experiences LDer. Everyoen tends to start with it and for what reason I do not know. It will take forever. WILD techniques are so unique to the person, you need to have a feel for it first. You are smart is doing RCs and keeping a DJ. I recommend that you start with MILD, DILD, and an occational WBTB.

After you turn off your alarm, go back to the position you woke up in. Or, make sure you wake up at the same time every day, and your body will eventually wake you up a few minutes before your alarm. Perfect for recall. Having an annoying alarm sound helps here.
Willing to talk about/listen to anything you have to say.
