Avoid depressants before bed (alcohol and sleeping pills). Also, try to get enough sleep, and the same amount, each night (did you know getting 7 hours of sleep for three days is healthier than getting 5 hours, 5 hours, and 11? Or any other combination, for that matter!). Keeping these biological factors constant will only improve the likelihood of remembering dreams!
When you wake up, think: what were you feeling? Happy, sad, guilty, tired? If you can't remember a dream, try writing emotions. Also, before bed, think about your intention to remember your dreams. Remember dreams you've had in the past (even from childhood) as you go to sleep. Once your brain catches on to your intention to remember, you will gain that recall skill. Don't give up! It may take a while to develop!
Nice username, by the way.
