      Get to the vibration state

Hey all i've been having LD's for some time now, however it has only ever really been through the WBTB and DILD methods. I want to step it up to trying to have a WILD but i keep encountering the same problem (this has probably been asked before..if it has please forgive me)
I can quite easily get to the 'vibratory state' by concentrating on a ringing in my ears, however once this state has been reached i find it hard to keep my concentration and i progress no further than the vibrations i.e no LD...

      any tips / suggestions???

Getting stuck at the SP stage of WILD is pretty usual. You said you have a hard time keeping up your concentration at that stage. Why is that?

Yes, I have this problem too. I was trying to WILD, napstyle. Took about twenty minutes to get to the vibrations. I felt like the skin around my lips was getting hot, and my hands were stuck in place. I didn't really hear a ringing, but it was probably because I was so excited. I couldn't really control my eyes, and they were moving all over and trying to open themselves. I couldn't concentrate, and that was my first WILD attempt. I am pretty psyched because I just found out about all this stuff yesterday, and have yet to LD. I'm going to try a WBTB tonight, though.

Just relax. Accept the vibrations, or whatever else the SP causes, but don't dwell on it. If it helps, recite what you want to do in your head. I usually recite "I will have a lucid dream. I will fly above the clouds" repeatedly. Eventually, you will start to slur, which means that you are really relaxed if your thoughts are slurred (Mine usually turn into "I lill wave a ducil meard". Just keep repeating it, until you start to see something. I did it last night, and I started to see a chalkboard. Then a classroom. DON'T PANIC. Stay calm, rub your dream hands together until the dream becomes stable. You have just WILDed.
      Happy dreaming.

When I WILD I often get stuck for a while at the SP/HI state. To get the dream to start forming around me I have to day dream about what I want the dream to be. And it eventually forms aroudn me. Or I have a FA about being stuck in my bed. So I roll out, stumble to my door, open it and *ta-da* suddenly I'm in a dream.
