Did I dream of a Lucid Dream?

I'm not sure if this is possible but I think I might have dreamed that I experienced a lucid dream. (Meaning that I didn't really have control over my dream, just the experience within it--such as being chased by monsters, etc., in other dreams--was becoming aware of a dream...if you get what I mean)

I might just be being skeptical, since I only started trying a little less than a week ago, but I'm also just in general curious if you guys think that's possible.

Here's why I think I dreamed of a lucid dream (so if I didn't you can tell me what did happen):

I totally wanted to fly and do all this cool stuff, but instead I just kept doing stupid stuff. I think I was like trick-or-treating, which is exactly the kind of thing I usually do when I'm dreaming, but the whole time I was crazy excited about how I was lucid dreaming.

There were other reasons like the way I remember it (like someone else was doing the stuff) but they were pretty small so I took them out so you wouldn't have to waste time reading them.

The deffinition of a lucid dream is that you knew it was a dream. This does NOT mean that you were with-it enough to know you could go off and do your own thing. OR that you had amazing control and super powers. It just means that, at some point, you realized it was a dream.

As long as you knew it was a dream, it was lucid. I do the weirdest things, and have the worst logic in all my dreams, lucid or non-lucid. It is often hard to remember things from your real life, even tasks you wanted to accomplish. Just take a look at the Task of the Month forum to see what a struggle it can be.

I would have to disagree with you, Robot. I've had dreams where I knew it was a dream but was not at all lucid.

That's where the knowing comes in; That special awareness that comes with Lucid Dreaming. You can say "I'm dreaming" all you want, but unless you know, then you're not Lucid at all.

To me, real lucidity means you are experiencing the dream in a very similar way to how you experience waking life.

If you are aware its a dream but not truly present, I don't consider that an LD.
