      New here! :)

      Hi everyone,
My name is Tiffany, I'm 26, and I live in San Francisco, CA. I work for a University, and I'm also a professional singer on the side. I'm new to this fourm, and excited to be able to talk about these things with other like-minded people!

I have been fascinated by dreams since I was little, and have been keeping detailed dream diaries and records of my dreams since I was 11.

I still remember 2 dreams that I had when I was very young. When I was about 2-3 years old I had a dream that I was in the house of Goldilocks and the Three Bears (from the children's story). In the dream, the house was burning down, and the 3 bears and Goldilocks left me in the house alone, and they escaped, but left me to just perish, with no one rescuing me. Pretty traumatizing for a baby to dream-- I've remembered this dream my whole life.

Then, when I was around 4 or 5, I had another abandonment dream that I still remember. In the dream I was with my father and my younger sister in this strange land. It was very eerie, with a red body of water, and the land was all red, and it was really desolate and scary. There were these big machines that looked like futuristic monsters. In the dream my dad and sister wandered off, and left me alone in the strange place, never to return again.

Anyway, I have never had a lucid dream, but I've ALWAYS wanted to have one. I've been fascinated with them since I found out what they were-- probably when I was around 13 or 14 years old.

I had a weird experience on Monday night, which I posted about here: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=67723

I look forward to talking with you all about this stuff!

      ~Tiffany

Yay, welcome to DV! I hope you find all you're looking for here. It's a great community (though you'll want to treat lightly in non-dream related threads). Feel free to PM me if you have any questions, I'll try my best to answer.

That is so cool that you've kept a dream journal since you were so young. I had very vivid and interesting dreams when I was young, too. I wish I had thought to keep track of even SOME of them!

How cool that you remember dreams from when you were so young! Many people don't even have regular memories from that early in life! I wonder if abandonment dreams are common among the very young? It seems like something that would be.

Wander a bit and see what DV offers!

      Thank you for the welcomes!

Yeah, I think it's pretty cool that I have kept a dream diary since I was so young... I have several paper journals filled with dreams, from adolescence, and then in 2001 or so, I started writing the dreams down in online journals, which I still have.

Also, I can't believe I still remember 2 dreams from when I was that young, either! It's crazy to me, haha, but they just have stuck with me this entire time. Sometimes I wonder if they're false memories, but I'm 99.9999999999% sure they're not.

Sometimes thoughts from the night can induce false memories, but they you usually can remember pretty quickly if they were real or not.
