new here, experienced LD'r, some suggestions and questions

Hi i'm new here, but have had many LD's and some strange experiences i'd like to recount and learn more about, and some suggestions for gaining more control.

OK ive read Carlos Casteneda's 'The Art Of Dreaming' and put to use some of the teqniques outlined. I have to say the most useful part of it is the suggestion of instantly looking at your hands when realising you're dreaming. This brings your dreaming body more into the forefront of your conciousness and hence more control and a greater ability to remain 'in your dream'
In that book it suggests there is a gateway to another world that i believe i have almost entered.
Once i was asleep on my sisters sofa and i was dreaming that i was just lying there when a holographic skull appeared in my vision. It did not rapidly change shape, so i said to it 'Take me to the inorganic beings world' to which effect the skull spawned two more skulls in the eye sockets. I looked deeply at one of them and then i experienced a changing folding feeling in my body. This terrified me as i think i was not ready to undertake this joerney and i forced myself awake. If anyone has had similar experiences, or better yet even visited that realm, then i would happy to hear from you.

I haven't been lucid dreaming for about 2 years, but miss it and am intending to put more effort into it as my dreams are becoming more scripted for me, rather than by me. Also the information about that dream is from a long time ago, so the details are as accurate as possible, but may be slightly out.

      Thanx

Semi-bumpage. Just making sure everybody gets a welcome.

Anyway, welcome to the forums heydee.

It's my belief that you shouldn't take everything you see in a book as hard fact: espcially with Lucid Dreaming and other "Occulty" things, as there's alot of quackery going on, where people basically just write a load of stuff that isn't true, then sell it. I've never heard of this inorganic beings realm, or whatever it is Casteneda cares to call it. I'd be extremely intrested in hearing more about it, however - I've never read any of Carlos's books.

Welcome to the fourum!!!! dream possibilities are endless, you can create a whole new world by simply thinking it up in your little cranium and willing yourself there, but do be carefull for the dream world has its frightening situitions, i would start playing with occult related thing in your dreams where theyre most effective.

      Peace and welcome again.
