      Lucid? or Vivid?

hey guys, I think I might have tasted lucidity today..

I slept at 12 ish. tried to go into SP (I dont know how it feels like..) then fell asleep I guess.
Got up at 6. Went jogging/walking for half an hour. came back home, drank some apple juice, then tried to attempt wild. couldnt do it for somereason, tried to do a WBTB thingy, couldnt concentrate. I guess I must have dosed off.
I had an awesome vivid dream, like.. everything felt damn real, but I dont think I was in control, I had a actually pretty good coversation with saachin tendulkar (famous cricketer), but I THINK I might have entered lucidty at the very end of the dream.

      - I 'woke' up not in my room or bed, but my parents room, by myself, walked/ran out to the lounge, and saw some guy with his face either cut or not fully formed, and I started screaming? but no sound comes out, I dont think it was scary, but rather just.. freaky lol, then boom everything goes away, and I snap back into reality, but I cant move for like a few seconds. I think that was SP?

ANYWAY, do you guys think this is a lucid dream? or a vivid dream? the last part seems a little lucid to me..

If you realized, at any point, that it was a dream then it was a lucid dream.

lol but thats the problem.. I THINK I might have realized that.. or it just might be me after just desperately wanting a LD. plus, arnt we supposed to be able to control what we do in LD's?

Yes that's the *idea*, but that's not the *definition* of a lucid dream. Some people may find that they have no control, but know it's a dream anyway.
Besides, a lot of people use dream awareness for other reasons than control

But it is entirely possible that you either (1) dreamed that you had a lucid dream (wierd distinction, I know) or (2) altered the memory after waking

You're just going to have to test yourself ... plan things to do in your LDs, etc

Unless otherwise stated, views expressed in this post are not necessarily representative of the official Dream Views stance. Hell, it's probably not even representative of me.
