I dunno, maybe try taking a nice hot bath after your run before you go back to sleep? Then your body should be nice and tired and sleepy. I know that personally, if I went jogging I would not be able to fall asleep. The used muscles wouldn't be nearly tired enough to cancel out the pounding heart and how awake I was to be running.

A higher heart rate doesn't help you WILD. Exercise does that to you when first starting out. When you get in better shape a little jog should hurt your chances to WILD.

Welcome to the board. Check out the tutorials section for other methods you could use, instead of a jog. You are getting on the right track already by waking up and returning to sleep, good luck!
