It's different for everyone. For me I started having them semi regularly about a month in and regularly about a month after that.

I agree with ninja, its different for everyone. For example, me:
Started to train myself at 4-5 (not sure) and as I lacked tons of info in the subject (or because of logic curse) took 7 years to have at least 1/week, then 1 year later found gravity RC and it became a daily thing lol
Sadly enough, found about terms and all that 4 years after garvity RC <.<

And it depends on your dedication too. For me, I started off highly motivated, but that's tapered down.

It's been six months since I discovered LD'ing and I've had about 5 LD's. I didn't even intentionally try to have most of them, as I was just trying to get to a place where I could remember my dreams to my satisfaction. I still haven't seriously delved into trying out techniques for a good amount of time.

Anyway, everyone is different. Once you get going, you may get an idea for yourself.

Hey, there. Just remember the little things you can recognize in a dream as wrong. Writing is a big one for me. I read all sorts of stuff all the time, but when it's hard to read, I must be dreaming. Or if you ever have to question whether or not its a good idea to try breathing underwater, you are probably far from awake. Don't try too hard once you realize what it is, though. Premature excitement can cause early awakenings. Good luck.

      Hi hi hi!
I've always had pretty decent recall (~4+ or so, depending on how long I sleep), and once I found my way to Dreamviews I started getting ridiculous results... multiple lucids a night (via DEILD dream chaining), and within a couple of months (say April to May) I was having two a week. And all I ever do is reality check. So by putting in the effort, reading as much as you can, I'm sure you'll be up to those frequencies soon

You're a bit luckier than me because after my first lucid dream, I wasted time not really understanding what they were or how to induce them. I only managed to get lucid twice a year. Now, thanks to DV, I get lucid over 52 times more per year So know that you've already taken a BIG step in the right direction!
