      CONFUSED! Please explain?

So, this morning I was having a great dream (not actually, it was kinda weird) and I was outside talking to my dad in the dream. I looked up to the sky and noticed there was a giant tv hanging there. I was like WAIT A MINUTE!! This is a dream! So, I flew up and started jumping around on the roof and then I'm like this is a lucid dream! So, this is where it gets kinda confusing. Time seemed to fast forward, like everything went into a blur and stopped and I was um. doing stuff with a guy. Then, after that, everything went tingly and it all faded away into black and I woke up.

Are lucid dreams always first person view? Cause I'm not sure if mine was first person or not, actually, I'm certain I was looking at myself as I did those things. Did I have a dream about lucid dreaming? I could feel myself doing *ahem* stuff (sorry for mentioning it?) until it faded away. I'm confused? Haha sorry if i confused anyone else too.

Grats on a lucid, and welcome to the forums!
No, you can have lucid dreams in 3'rd or 1'st person, though you can change which view you are viewing from with practice. So it looks like yes, that was a lucid dream. (Also, some may debate about this, but it is impossible to "dream" of having a lucid dream) Also for the content of your dream, don't worry about it. There are plenty more... open people on the forums.

P.S. Remember, a lucid dream simply means you know you are dreaming. Even if you don't have control of the dream.

      Welcome Music!

Yeah, pretty much what Insane said. One thing to think about, is where you experiencing the feelings and sensations that you (the person you were observing) was experiencing, or upon recall do you feel like you were the one that was flying and doing... um... stuff, with the guy?

Sometimes it can be our recall that effects what actually did happen in a dream. Well, actually, there's no proof -really - that any of us even dream. All we have are memories.

But that's an entirely different discussion...

      Congrats on your lucid!!

Sometimes if you move fast and loose track of the things around you they blur together and destabilize the dream. Sexual encounters also tend to destabilize dreams because you focus too much on what you're doing and not the things around you. Things around you can't exist without your attention.

YAY! And yeah, it did feel like i was the one jumping around and uh doing stuff xD But then, towards the end of the dream, i could feel myself moving out of the dream, and not in the dream, and then that's when everything went black!
