Well, you need more sleep. Your body needs to get enough rest before your dreams begin. I had this problem, and just started sleeping normally a day ago, and already had a lucid dream. Try sleeping 8 hours a day. More if possible.

Every healty person dreams. You just aren't remembering your dreams. Getting enough sleep will help. Also check out the Dream Recall tutorial.

Staying conscious while the body falls asleep is part of a WILD. It feels like you are just laying there. Here is the WILD tutorial if you want to read more.

I'm not quite sure what your last question was. Were you talking about keeping from waking up or about using time dilation to extend the dream?

Lengthened sleep will help but I think your main problem is what seeker said in terms of following that Dream Recall tutorial. You likely need to start a dream diary, etc. (follow the link) if you aren't naturally good at it yet (even if you were it's likely a good suggestion).

I think by the last question they are saying that their dreams end almost instantly and they only really remembers short fragments of them or "flashes". I used to have that problem at one point and they are wondering how they can extend this to "5 hours" aka a full dream (not really 5 hours worth haha but I know what they are trying to ask cause they are speaking on how time is different in a dream). In terms of that, you'll just need to work on your dream recall and various lucid techniques.

It's going to take some work if you're having trouble with dream recall but it is doable just don't give up easily.
This entire reality is SELF REFLECTION. You reflect your essence and project it onto the universe.

look how could i start a dream journal if i cant remember anything which is pretty much pointless till i can remember but with the 5 hours thing do you know how long it seems to feel when you do have a full dream?

Do the autosuggestion thing. Say "I will remember my dreams" throughout the day and when you go to bed at night. I had pretty bad recall, but it's slowly starting to get better. Had a great one this morning. It's a slow process and I haven't made it to a full, proper widescreen LD yet, but I ain't giving up.

Doing to sleep consciously is called a WILD, and you can only do it in the morning. By staying perfectly still your body will shut down and dreams will start. The parts of the brain that shut you down and start dreaming are independent of your actual consciousness, they determine for themselves if you are asleep or not.
