so finally i had a lucid

      Hi there!
First thing i wanna introduce myself. I m from germany and closing in to my 30īs.
I m a silent reader of your forum since the beginning of this year and this was around the first time i heard about lucid dreaming and decided i wanna learn it.

Itīs been a long road. Phases where i tried harder and phases where i nearly gave up. Seeing that there seem to be quite a lot of teens in this forum i wonder if its harder for an adult to learn it since you are more set in your ways i guess and that includes the way you think.

Anyway i wanted to thank all here for the lots of information on this forum and to the people struggling like me: it happened for me after 9 months so yes patience can pay off

here some tidbits of the dream:
I am sitting in a train and it is night outside. For some reason i dont remember, i did the nose breathing RC and knew i was in a dream.
The first thing that came to my mind is changing the night to day and it happened pretty easily.
i saw the sun shine through the windows and thought what next.
I wanted to see the full sky so i thought it would be cool if i can change the walls of the train into glass.
This time it took a few seconds and was like a morphing effect where it got more and more transparent but i could see the full blue sky with a few white clouds in the end.
I touched the wall to feel the glass and from up close it looked a bit wierd. not as smooth as i expected and had a plastic feel.

then i remembered a girl i saw in the dream before in another wagon. well i went there and wont go into details here hehe
but i lost the dream fast at that point it was like i lost focus the moment i payed attention of the surroundings

so it was to a random RC so they finally payed off hehe.
and the wierd thing i m not even sure the RC failed but by then i somehow knew it was a dream.
which amazes me also is that the moment you wake up you still loose details even tho you were kinda concious involved in that dream. then again i guess in real life you miss a lot of details as well you just dont wonder about them.

congratulations! it's good you changed night to day- night is usually a sign that the dream is weak/fading. Wow 9 months sure would take some dedication! hopefully now they will start coming quite often! Cheers!

Awesome job Way to finally join us heh, we do have alot of members here who are around your age too you know We dont get them as often as the hundreds of teens, but there are a good amount of people over 25 at this site. I'm 21 myself, but I was here when I was 16 So if you wait around people will get older after a while. lol.

Teenagers do spend a lot of time oversleeping though, so might explain that.

I'm just over the big 30. Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your lucid.
      The first of many!

      thx all for the welcome.

yeah its true moonshine on an average worknight i normally sleep max 5 hours which isnt exactly ideal

i hope that actually having an ld helps with future ones.
I think its different to somebody just telling you its possible no matter how convincing it may sound hehe

Very nice Nocturno. There's truly nothing like your first LD, huh.
I suggest you look into WILDs (Wake-Induced Lucid Dreams). This is where you basically remain conscious all the way until you (your body) fall asleep. This can be very exiting entering sleep whilst remaining conscious and is how I got my first LD! So consider trying that if you're looking for a pretty consistent way of LDing.
