      Talking Professional Lurker Returns!

Hey guys, I know none of you remember me, but I'm back. Let me explain. I joined a couple years ago as Jordan M. G., hung around for a couple weeks, tops, then disappeared for over a year. Real life kept me busy, you know. Eventually, I came back and requested a name change, but didn't hang around long at all... In fact, I'm not sure I ever posted with this name. Then I disappeared again for several more months.

A lot of things have changed: Now I'm in college, so getting a good amount of sleep is pretty difficult. But I went on winter break starting Dec. 16 or so. I'm still on break until Jan. 20th, so I'll try to get back into lucid dreaming while I'm home and able to sleep. Ideally, I'd like to have at least one lucid dream before I go back to college. That is my main goal. I also need to set up a regular sleep schedule instead of my current "whenever" so that I have a better chance of keeping recall when break is over.

Let's see... I've had spontaneous lucid dreams, 2 or 3 a year, since I was a kid. I don't think I can really say I ever incubated one. Oh, and my recall isn't that good. And finally, sorry for rambling. Hopefully I'll learn to stick around this time.

Hey. welcome to DV. I would suggest you start a dream journal to improve your recall.
Having a regular sleep schedule is a wise choice. Uhm. I'd look in the tutorial section if you want to have a lucid by then. Some people have a really hard time getting lucid.

      Welcome back

Winter break sounds like the perfect time to pump out a few lucid dreams. Whats the plan?

Huh? A plan? Oh, right... Guess I need one of those.

Seriously though, even though I never really claimed a New Year's Resolution, and I've yet to flesh out the details, I want to pay more attention to my health this year. Sleeping and dreaming are just one part of that, but it is the part that I'll focus on first. The very first thing I want to do is set up a regular sleep schedule, like I said. I won't be ready to move on to lucid dreams until my recall is back up to par. And my recall isn't nearly there yet. When I do remember something, it's rarely what I'd call a full dream. I think it's slowly improving though, and I'll post some of them here whenever I get the chance. After that, I'll start looking for dreamsigns and start RCs, most likely.
