A few more questions on Lucid Dreaming.

I was only lucid for a few seconds when I did a RC then I don't remember what happened . My first Lucid dream, two nights ago, I was able to do anything I wanted, as in I had full control. This dream Just disappeared when it started. It was a false awakening and I know for sure I didn't have any dreams prior to it. I am guessing it just takes practice but I am not sure how to stay awake if it only lasts a split second. Can anyone help me with this? I know how to control but I need a few more seconds to do that.

Second. How can I control my self to wake up? Normally in a Nightmare I just open my eyes which is weird because my eyes are open in the dream, but this isn't a lucid dream. In a lucid dream is this the same?

      Third: what is a DC?

Thanks for helping out the noob

In response to your third question, a DC is a dream character, or a person you encounter while dreaming.

well to answer your first question lots of people use different techniques to increase lucidity in a dream. Some people rub their hands together, spin in a circle, or even just shout in the dream "increase lucidity"! So try and find out what works for you. And as for your second question I think getting out of a lucid would be like getting out of a nightmare although I don't see why you'd ever want to leave a lucid on purpose

I would take a guess that you might have lost lucidity, or that you might of gotten over excited and woken yourself up. So far out of the 2 lucid dreams I have had, I find the best thing to do first is to rub your hands together. It not only keeps you from getting to excited, but it also helps you have a more vivid dream because you are triggering your brain to use the part that control your sensations by rubbing your hands.

You can also spin in circles to keep lucid longer, however some people say the problem with that is that when you stop spinning you are in a different place. Then there is the shouting out to increase lucidity. As suggested try those three and find the best that works for you
