      lucid dreams every night

hey, I'm new to this forum but just wondering if it was natural to have lucid dreams every night. Have been a smoker of cannabis for numerous years (affecting my short term memory why i may not have recalled them previously) and since stopping taking it I have had a different lucid dream every night. The majority have been fine, however, it has been at least a fortnight since i actualy feel rested in the mornings. Mainly due to every night i dream lucidly and therefor feel more tired when i wake then before i went to sleep. Is there anyway to stop lucid dreams??

You are one of the few people who have lucid dreams naturally, lucky you. Many people envy that ability. I do not know how to stop lucid dreams, but some others here on dreamviews might know.

hmmm.... DON't keep a dream journal, DONT do reality checks or question your surroundings in any way. Go to bed late, be very involved with your daily activities and caught up in your thoughts. watch plenty of television- especially just before bedtime.

If you've just stopped smoking, it might take a little while for your body to reset itself, so I'd just give it some time. The fact that you're lucid dreaming shouldn't factor into whether or not you get a good night's sleep because you're still sleeping. It's possible that that might be one of the causes, but I doubt it. There are natural lucid dreamers who have been LDing for years and years and it hasn't affected them.

Personally, here's what I recommend. When you find yourself in a lucid dream, just relax and let the dream go on as usual. Feel free to walk around and see what's going on, but other than that don't try to take control or change it too much. Observe and interact if the situation arises (ie. a dream character starts talking to you), but remain relaxed and passive.

      I wish you a good night's sleep.

You could always just go to bed in your dream. It probably will result in a false awakening though.

      cheers

cheers for the suggestions, had already tried falling asleep within dream, but did get the false awakening, would sit back and enjoy the dreams, but most are far too confusing to comprehend, some lucid nightmares, some nice dreams where in control of myself, just not anything else or the situation within the dream. Will try the mind numbing thing, have increased my level of activity but hasn't had an impact yet, never seems like i'm awake as even when i am, reality checks, don't check out in whole, only in sight.
