After a few nights of practice with remembering my dreams, I found out I by default could remember ANY dream when I woke up. So last night, I tried to induce lucid dreaming via the traditional way, realizing you are dreaming. |

I would say that it wasn't lucid, since it didn't even occur that you were dreaming. However, many people have dreams like this, and from what I've seen, one can more easily train themselves to notice weirdness rather than the little oddities of realistic dreaming. (That is, when they can even remember while dreaming to check). A good dream sign for you to watch out for in waking life might be this: If you see something perfectly normal, that you happen to just know is normal, just do a quick check on why it works. If the answer is "magic," or some random technobabble that seems to come outr of nowhere, it's probably a dream. |

I've had dreams like these and I wouldn't say they should count as LDs either, since you're not lucid |

Well, not really. The method you used might have been different (the coat hangers), but there are many of us who have controlled dreams without actually being lucid. It is a sort of feeling where things are just "natural," no matter how metaphysical they might be. It is the type of dream where you feel "in control" of yourself, just like you do in waking life (which is actually how a majority of my non-lucid dreams feel), even when you are doing crazy, supernatural stuff. I wouldn't say it's too out of the ordinary, but there are many people who haven't experienced this type of dream, so I wouldn't exactly call it "the norm," either. |
