I think that John11 has said pretty much everything.

I would suggest you not to get to excited about having an LD tonight. For most people, it takes more than one day. You might be an exception, but still, its always better to not be too positive about something because you risk to get desapointed and frustrated and might even give up. Don't give up, it'll come (it hasn't come to me but I've only started a week ago). I've been told it takes 4 weeks to have an LD in general but it varies. I'm hoping to get my first one on my birthday that is coming

Heh. I read about it on the internet. Stayed up until 11, did reality checks every 5 minutes. Sure enough, did a RC in the dreamscape, to find out that I was dreaming but couldn't really control the dream as much as I wanted to. So, if you think about it A LOT then you could have some chance, but you shouldn't really count on it. ;D

heh, we have some pessimism going on here, which is never helpful Dreaming is all in your mind, so if you beleive you can do it quickly, then chances are you will Just keep up with what your doing and be persistant but not obsessive. You can do it.

Is the pessimism comment directed towards me?

'cause if it is I didn't meant that he couldn't have it the next day, I just meant that if he doesn't, its not abnormal and that he shouldn't give up. Sorry if it sounded like I was telling him that it would take a long time. I was trying to be positive... Sorry Sorry


Anyways I got sort of my first LD last night so see, you can do it too (I've been trying for one week) so you can do it too! (mine was just spinning in circle so I don't really count it....) Good luck

For the Paradox thing....

So then a paradox is not true... Per exemple: Padjisjadsjdadsdsffsd is a group of letters that no one has ever written or will write.

So if I get it a paradox is a statement that is proven wrong by itself?

I agree with Paradox-db3, you should be able to answer those questions based on any dreams, not just lucid ones. Maybe I misunderstand all of this, but being lucid is as simple as knowing that you are dreaming. Therefore, lucid dreams aren't much different than regular ones, but now you have the potential to influence them and make more conscious decisions about your behavior.

The most vivid sensual experience I had was when I was being attacked by zombies and I could smell the overpowering stench of rotting meat when one of them was close. I woke up just then, and I was amazed at the realness of it. Your past vividness might predispose you for LD. Lack of vividness and recall and you probably have a lot of work to do.
