      A odd nightmare

I had a nightmare and it scared me so I woke myself up and I woke up and was in my house everything was the same as normal but it felt like I was still dreaming. I dont know what happened but if anyone knows please tell me.

first of all, it was probably a false awakaning.

second of all, this is the lucid dreaming section.

It's called the newbie zone for a reason.

Rachel, it's quite possible that when you woke yourself up, you weren't actually successful and simply had a False Awakening, a dream about waking up. These are pretty common and absolutely harmless, though they can be disconcerting if you don't intend to have one and if you aren't sure what it is. If you thought that you were really in a dream once you'd 'woken up', then it sounds like you may have had a lucid dream or almost gotten one. If you read about reality checks, you can be prepared, in case you think you are still dreaming again, to find out whether or not you are actually still in a dream and thus become lucid

It sounds like lucid dreaming may not have been your goal, but lucid dreaming (dreaming while knowing you are dreaming) offers infinite possibilities (you can manipulate, control, or just go with the crazy flow of a dream while being aware and awake during it) and is a ton of fun, so now that you're here you should look into it!

I have no idea what you just said. But it sounds like you're motivated, which is always a good thing
