Smile How long do lucid dreams last apprx. ?

Hey. Well I had a lucid dream last night and unknowingly used the wake back to bed method. I uh went to sleep and woke up in the morning around like 2:15 am. Then I became tired and went back to sleep. Although somehow I started seeing all these images in my mind and suddenly it faded and it went still. I opened my eyes and I was well in a church? I saw this guy I hated from school so first I did a RC (breathing while my nose was plugged) I left the church and wanted to see my crush. Oh he appeared behind me and all . Omg I'll spare u the details and I woke up !!! I checked the time and it was like almost 4 am. Any idea on how I can lucid dream longer ? And to not wake up?
I hate it when I take off my turban and Voldemort is on my head!

First off, I love your avatar. Joker is my hero.

Second, it depends on how long the REM cycle you are currently in lasts. The ones in the beginning of the night can be as short as 5 minutes and the latter ones near the morning can be up to 45 minutes.

So, if you are used to lucid dreaming and can maintain lucidity for a full 45 minutes without getting to excited and waking yourself up, you can have really nice long adventure.

Jack is right. You have longer REM cycles as the night goes on. I would recommend staying asleep for 5 hours, then waking up. Think about Lucid Dreaming and then go back to sleep. They will be long, possibly an hour. Good Luck.

Last night my lucid dream was about 15 to 20 minutes. Or atleast that's how it felt.
