      Can't seem to WILD

Hello everyone, I've been lurking around these forums the past few weeks and decided I should finally join, because i really want to WILD but can't.

I'm not new to lucid dreams, i've been having DILD's my entire life, but those, for me, happen randomly and irregularly. I want to gain a little more control over when the dreams are induced, so lately I've been trying to WILD. But after trying about 10-15 times, I'm still getting nothing. I've tried all different sleeping positions, sleep schedules, and a bunch of different "lucid dream inducing" binaural beats. Every time, I lay perfectly still for like 40 minutes and the only thing I feel is a numbing sensation in my hands and feet, that never escalates into sleep paralysis or HI.

So my question is, is there something I could be doing wrong? Or is there a way to sort of speed up the WILDing process? Thanks in advance

I am very unexperienced with WILDing, and the only intended WILD I have ever had was a FILD and it got me my first lucid. I am considering trying it again to WILD because when I was completely unexperienced it gave me my first lucid. I guess I would suggest trying it. It is essentially the same thing as a WILD, it uses your fingers as an anchor.

So a FILD is the same as a WILD except you just slowly move your fingers? Instead of counting breaths?

I am pretty sure it is the same. It is just a more specific WILD, because it is using your fingers as an anchor and in a WILD you can use any anchor.

It's certainly possible. Personally I think it's easy to know what exactly it is you're aiming for. WILD is a difficult technique for most, too, so you've really gotta be positive and persistent. Or at least I have to be. I mainly just DEILD, WILDing has defeated me too many times for me to keep attempting and losing sleep when there are more consistent ways for me personally to WILD.
