      hey mates

hi, my name is richard d james, sometimes called aphex twin. I've been having lucid dreams for a long time, now lately they are really slowing down. I'm not sure why at all. Any advice? Strangely, my sleeping pattern has been normalising and i've been getting a lot more sleep than I used to when i had LDs.

      So reverse it.

      Abnormalise the pattern.

      Break it.

Welcome to DV! I love your music btw.

I think I may be experiencing a similar problem to what you described. I used to have fairly poor and restless sleep where I woke up many times a night, but that doesn't seem to be happening recently (and neither are the lucid dreams).

I don't really have any suggestions yet, but I hope someone might.

My brother used to listen to Aphex Twin when we were teenagers. If you are him, remind me I owe you many headaches!!!

      Apart from that, welcome.

I doubt he is the Aphex Twin.

I think he meant his brother.

Btw Aphex, you should do a remix of Macarthur's Park for your next release.

What was your sleep pattern like when you were having LD's?

Unfortunately this is not always so easy, especially when you get older and settle down.

      I like aphex twin...

But Squarepusher is better but the last album sucked. Also Venetian Snares is better.

      I love your music.

You are probably right about your regular sleep schedule reducing your lucidity. Regular sleep gives you longer dreams, but a wacky, interrupted sleep schedule gives you more lucids. When you sleep lighter, or wake up frequently in the night, it is easier to hold your awareness.
