Don't try to completely ignore those hallucinations. Following your hypnagogia is how you fall asleep, which you have to do for a successful WILD. Just be aware that they are hallucinations, and keep reminding yourself that it is not real.
I had something similar happen this morning. I woke from a lucid dream, and heard knocking at the door, children playing outside, ect. I knew I was just waking up from a dream, knew this was all hallucinations, but it didn't seem to matter. The disorientation that comes with the hallucination is pretty overwhelming.
Just be persistent, and keep reminding yourself it is not real. Keep your focus on your goal.
